Welcome to the Wiregrass Quilter's Guild web site! We hope you enjoy your visit.
Wiregrass Quilter's Guild is a non-profit organization for those interested in quilts and quilting. Monthly meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m., after Sit & Sew at 5:00 p.m. The meetings rotate between Albany, Tifton, and Fitzgerald, GA. Each meeting includes a short program on some aspect of quilting as well as Show and Tell by the members. Dues are $20 per year.
The group was founded in Fitzgerald, GA in 1985, by a small group of women dedicated to the art of quilting. Since that time, membership has grown to more than 100 quilters and covers a large area of South Georgia. Members participate in a variety of charitable causes including the Linus Project, quilts for local neonatal units, ConKerr Cancer pillowcases, and other donations to local projects. Some of our fun activities include a yearly retreat at Epworth-by-the-Sea and an annual bus trip to Jacksonville for the Quiltfest show.
